Young women of Caribbean ancestry will soon have the opportunity to participate in one of the most unique pageants ever introduced in Toronto, Canada; the first ever Miss Caribbean Tourism Pageant Inc.
This groundbreaking event will transmit the warmth, amity and colorful scenery of the Caribbean by highlighting beauty, tourism, culture and education.
The lovely delegates representing the member states of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) will compete under the theme “Celebrating the Beauties of the Caribbean” on September 30th, 2007.
The Pageant is open to young women between the ages of 17 to 25 of Caribbean origin. Contestants will be judged in six categories: interview, on stage question, cultural costume, profile of extraordinary Caribbean personality, swimsuit and evening wear.
Founder and CEO of the Pageant, Heather Christian-Simmonds says the Miss Caribbean Tourism Pageant Inc. is a Canadian Organization designed to achieve several major goals, “The Pageant seeks to foster leadership through education, to celebrate Caribbean women, to promote Caribbean tourism, celebrate Caribbean culture and to honor Caribbean historical cultural icons.”
The Miss Caribbean Tourism Pageant is in partnership with the Caribbean Tourism Organization to promote Caribbean beauty, culture and tourism. The crowning of the Miss Caribbean Tourism will be a grand event held in conjunction with CTO’s first Caribbean Week in Toronto, September 26th-30th, 2007.
